Pikes' Pics

Ever so slightly delayed, here are the pictures that accompany this post.

Viewing the sun as it peeks over the eastern horizon - see its pink fingers on my cheek?

Halfway up at Barr Camp, with its lovely loos.

The lovely wildflowers by the A-Frame, several miles further up, where I unsuccessfully attempted to find a loo.

Looking tired at the A-frame.

Made it to the Golden Stairs. (See the golden flowers?)

Jen sees the cog railway at the top of the mountain, reinvigorating hope.

Success!

Sweet success!

Our group at the top. Notice my discreetly displayed donut.

I can't wait to do this hike again, but from the Crags. Anyone?

What beautiful flowers and such a view. What about your comment on doing it again from another start? How far to the top? NV

Mike and I are hoping to do it from the Crags. I think it's more like 9 miles from there, so way shorter, but steeper.
